The following is an extract from Subster's Relief Teaching Service Registration Form. It outlines the spirit of the arrangement by which JITER's Services agrees to supply relief teaching services to ELICOS institutions. 

The institution agrees to: 

​

• Inform Subster at the earliest possible time of the need for relief cover (optimum time is around 7:00 am for same day, 5:00 - 6:00 pm for next day ) 

• Provide information about classes to be covered 

• Book teachers initially supplied by Subster exclusively through Subster and not enter into a private arrangement with the teacher 

• Pay the agreed fees as invoiced on 14 day terms 

• Inform Subster directly of any problem or dissatisfaction with Subster's teachers  

• Where teachers are booked on assignment and later cancelled, pay the standard cancellation fee of $50 

 

JITER agrees to:

• Provide emergency telephone numbers where institutions can reach a member of Subster staff and not be required to leave a message 

• Recruit, brief and provide suitably trained teachers for short notice relief work 

• Confirm arrival and name of teacher by phone or email

• Pay teachers fortnightly a rate agreed between Subster and the teachers 

• Ensure that teachers understand the terms of the relief teaching contract 

• As far as is possible meet the institution's requirements for repeat assignments by the same teacher
